Chief Financial Officer
Job Summary
The role involves establishing internal controls for various operational processes including sales, purchasing, construction, land development, accounts payable, job starts, and closing. The position also requires ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen who can drive operational excellence and support the division's growth objectives while maintaining ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Provide timely and accurate financial information
Develop and maintain five-year business plans
Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures
Oversee division's homebuilding operations
Manage financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy
Operational Oversight:
Interact with all departments to optimize efficiency
Train personnel on the JD Edwards system
Implement effective policies, procedures, and internal controls
Evaluate potential land deals against corporate, regional, and division requirements
Monitor development and S&B budgets
Leadership and Ethics:
Conduct business professionally and ethically
Promote company goodwill and profitability
Ensure personnel understand and follow company philosophy
Analyze and implement new policies for technological advancements and operational efficiency
Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent
7-10 years of related experience
Proficiency in MS Office and email
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the home building industry
Adaptability to changing business environments
